SALT MARSH ON THE ĆUF PENINSULA

A special feature of the Ćuf peninsula, located between Njivice and
Malinska on Krk Island, is a pond – a small salt marsh surrounded
by contrasting landscapes. In summer, when the marsh dries up, white
fields of salt “blossom” on its clay soil, while during rainy periods,
the small marsh is rich in water. The pond plays host to many wetland
