INVITATION TO THE OPENING OF THE PERMANENT EXHIBITION AT BELI

The griffon vultures of Cres Island have a long history of sharing living space with humans and they have become a part of folk tales and legends. The permanent exhibition at Beli is dedicated to griffon vultures as part of Croatia’s natural heritage in which these birds play a vital ecological and culturological role. In addition to presenting the life of these orli of Cres, the exhibition seeks to illustrate the connection between these charismatic birds, together with the many other diverse elements of the natural heritage of the islands of Kvarner Bay, Cres Island, Tramuntana of Cres and the ancient village of Beli, and interesting facts from the ethno heritage of the traditional island way of life of local residents.

Are pleased to invite you to the opening of the permanent exhibition at the Visitor Centre and Griffon Vulture Rescue Centre at Beli on Sunday, 14 May 2017, beginning at 4 pm

The Beli Visitor Centre Project was co-funded by the County of Primorje and Gorski Kotar, Public Institution Priroda, the Town of Cres and the Croatian Ministry of Tourism. The Beli Visitor Centre is located in the building of the Beli Regional School at Beli 4
