“YOUNG GUARDIANS OF THE ENVIRONMENT” COMPETITION

On the occasion of the International Environmental Protection Day, the traditional meeting and competition of Young Guardians of the Environment was held in the Korzo, as well as a Multimedia Eco-Projection under the organisation of the Society “Our Children” of Rijeka.
The pupils of eight schools of the County of Primorje and Gorski Kotar participated in the competition. One of the knowledge and skills categories in which they competed was the category of protected nature areas in the region. The contestants displayed enviable knowledge on the topic of nature
protection. A special commendation for knowing all 30 of the protected areas of the County was awarded to the pupils of the “Sveti Matej” Public School and the “Mijo Mirković” Business School.
