A protected, individual tree specimen, the old oak tree near Sveti Petar is an icon. Numerous legends and tales have been spun around this tree. A storm in 2003 almost marked its demise, and to restore the tree’s stability threatened by a fissure in its truck, the crown of the tree had to be trimmed and rid of old branches.
