The first Saturday in September is International Vulture Awareness Day (IVAD). This year Public Institution “Priroda”, the Zagreb City Zoo and the BIOM Association will mark IVAD with a three-day programme to be held at the Beli Visitor Centre and Rescue Centre for Griffon Vultures and at the Zagreb City Zoo.
We believe everybody is sure to find an activity to take part in, whether it is listening to a lecture, watching a short film or participating in workshops for school children and pre-schoolers. We are pleased to invite you to visit the Beli Visitor Centre and Rescue Centre for Griffon Vultures and the Zagreb City Zoo on Friday, Saturday and Sunday (August 31, September 1 – 2) and join us in celebrating IVAD, an occasion to learn many interesting facts about vultures, the Griffon vulture in particular. Join us and support the efforts of Griffon vulture conservation in Croatia!
